Who We Are
An eclectic, talented team who is
dedicated to our craft–and to serving you.
Our Mission
To create homes as unique and expressive as the individuals who inhabit them, weaving light and shadow into spaces that inspire and elevate daily life.
Inspiring a life well-lived.
About Anders Lasater Architects
Anders Lasater Architects was founded in 2005 by Anders Lasater, an architect whose early passion for design led him to earn degrees from Cal Poly Pomona and UCLA. After gaining experience at leading Orange County firms, Anders established his own practice, quickly earning a reputation for innovative and thoughtful design.
Our award-winning firm creates exceptional spaces for custom homes, restaurants, retail, and hotels, among others. We meticulously master Space, Proportion, Light, and Material to deliver unique, inspiring designs that blend modern elements with dynamic spatial relationships.
Though our studio is in coastal Orange County, our projects span the U.S.–from Hawaii to Florida–and even internationally. Licensed in numerous states, we're passionate about crafting meaningful spaces that improve lives and foster meaningful, transformative moments.
Where We Practice
Our team practices architecture in California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Texas, Hawaii, Utah, and Nevada.
Meet the Team

Anders Lasater
President and Design Director
In 2005, after nearly a decade as a managing associate at Mark Singer Architects in Laguna Beach, Anders established his own firm, consistently delivering innovative designs for residential, restaurant, retail, and hotel projects. His design excellence has been repeatedly recognized by the American Institute of Architects.
Anders earned a Master of Architecture from UCLA and a Bachelor of Architecture, cum laude, from Cal Poly Pomona. He is a licensed architect in California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Texas, Hawaii, and Utah, and a licensed Residential Designer in Nevada. His professional contributions include serving as an architectural advisor to the Monarch Bay Architectural Committee and five years in the same role for The Strands at Headlands in Dana Point.
Outside of architecture, Anders is an avid photographer whose work has also garnered awards. He enjoys working out with his wife and traveling with his family, aiming to visit all 50 U.S. states. A Southern California native, it remains his favorite. -

Christine Miller
Studio Director
As Studio Director at ALA, Christine is the glue that holds us all together. Affectionately known as our “office mom,” she brings equal parts humor, heart, and hustle to everything she does. With a natural talent for communication and a deep-rooted passion for beautiful design, Christine leads our projects with a sharp eye and an even sharper sense of care for our clients' best interests.
Raised by parents who are both architects and engineers, she was immersed in design from an early age. That influence led her to earn her Bachelor of Architecture, cum laude, from Cal Poly, Pomona, and join ALA as an intern while still a student. Since then, she’s brought many innovations to the studio and continues to embrace new technology and design tools. She is currently in pursuit of her architect’s license.
Outside the office, she and her husband are proud parents to son Mason, daughter Ella, and their energetic dog Arlo. Most weekends, you’ll find them beachside, road-tripping around Southern California, or cheering at the race track.

Eunice Liu
Project Manager
In the office, Eunice makes sure every project runs smoothly from start to finish, serving her clients with the same precision and focus she brings to the tennis court. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from SCI-Arc (Southern California Institute of Architecture), she blends design insight and organizational skill in her role as Project Manager. Her calm, clear communication and attention to detail help keep clients, consultants, and creative teams all moving in sync—and she’s known for acing even the most complex projects.
Eunice also has a passion for video production, which she uses to give architectural ideas a fresh, engaging platform. Her storytelling approach brings projects to life visually—supporting both marketing and design presentations in a dynamic way. Whether she’s managing deadlines, sketching out ideas, or editing footage, Eunice brings energy, creativity, and a love for design into everything she does.

Hnin Nyein
Senior Project Manager
Meet Hnin (pronounced “Nin” – like “Ninja”), our resident ray of sunshine who keeps the office buzzing with charm, cheer, and an ever-changing lineup of irresistible snacks, pots of tea, and mouthwatering home-baked treats.
Officially, Hnin’s a Project Manager. Unofficially? She’s our “Project Ninja”—stealthy, sharp, and so efficient she could probably run her projects with one hand tied behind her back. Hnin holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona and has her sights set on becoming a licensed architect. She also brings her background in interior design and a killer eye for detail, style, and structure to everything she touches.
When she’s not dazzling us at work, Hnin’s off on adventures with her husband Michael and their son, Astro. She’s a creative soul through and through—whether she’s hiking, sewing, drawing, cooking, or getting her hands muddy with her latest obsession: pottery!

Amandine Isoardi
Senior Project Manager
Amandine came to us from the beautiful island of Corsica, France, with a sophisticated design sense shaped by her background as a European architect. Her talent infused many of our projects with a superior sense of materiality, scale, and detail that is both elegant and seductive.
After spending many wonderful years in Orange County, Amandine returned to France with her family, but she couldn’t quit the ALA team. We’re fortunate to continue collaborating with her remotely designing stunning projects inspired by both French and Californian influence.
Beyond design, Amandine has a sharp eye for photography. In her free time, she loves exploring the world with her husband and daughters, always on the lookout for inspiration...and good food.
Accolades and Awards
Our projects have received a diverse portfolio of recognitions, revealing ALA’s distinct design perspective, innovative spirit, and commitment to excellence. Whether we have worked with you before or are sitting down for our first meeting, we approach every interaction and design decision with a dedication to our craft and deep respect for the art of architecture.
