Bug House

Bug House

A Sonoma couple longed to continue their tradition of summer vineyard picnics with friends and family, but pesky insects often interrupted the experience. They envisioned a dedicated space for outdoor dining that could offer protection while preserving the romance of the vineyard setting.

The solution became the Bug House — a light-filled dining pavilion that shields against insects while keeping the landscape front and center. Its form and materials nod to the region’s agricultural heritage, balancing simplicity with refinement.
