Top of the World
Perched along a high ridge in Laguna Beach, the aptly named Top of the World neighborhood enjoys sweeping views of the Pacific on one side and the Saddleback Valley on the other. Developed in the mid-1960s, the area is dotted with mid-century homes now ready for a modern refresh, including this family’s original residence.
Our challenge was to expand a small, quirky house into a home and garden that could support a growing family and their love of outdoor living. The design transformed the compact structure into a vibrant environment, with spaces that flow easily between indoors and out.
The result is colorful, open, and full of energy, perfectly suited for beachside living from its special perch at the Top of the World.
