One Fish Two Fish

One Fish Two Fish

“Play hard, then rest hard.” That’s the motto of this Laguna Beach family, whose home now balances spaces for activity with places of quiet retreat. But it wasn’t always this way for their little house in the hollow.

Nestled into a small, irregularly shaped site, the original house was dark, fragmented, and lacking the kinds of spaces a young couple needed to raise their energetic daughters.

Our challenge was to transform those constraints into opportunities, to create meaningful new spaces, bring in light, and design a home that invites daily moments of connection, joy, and ease.

“If you’re doing a project in Laguna Beach, Anders is your man. After meeting with four architects, we instantly connected with Anders and his team. Our project passed Design Review at the first hearing, unheard of in Laguna Beach, saving us thousands of dollars. Anders and Christine have been incredibly responsive and supportive, making us feel important every step of the way, no matter the size of our project.”
