Another Memorable Evening
Silver Trumpet Restaurant and Bar
Located in the re-branded Avenue of the Arts Hotel in Costa Mesa, a short walk from the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, the Silver Trumpet Restaurant and Bar is the ideal place to enjoy a pre-show dinner or a late night cocktail. Inspired by the glamour of the performing arts, the design includes a dramatic back-lit entry facade, a shimmering entry water feature, a generous outdoor dining area over looking Segerstrom plaza, and a sexy indoor cocktail lounge with glowing onyx bar.

Our challenge was to transform the existing back-of-house facade and enliven what had been a long forgotten and unarticulated wall.
The solution was to craft a new, vibrant, and meaningful street facade that reinforces the identity of the hotel, while inviting patrons to cross the street from the Segerstrom Center to explore a part of the hotel that had been previously off-limits.

The AIAOC Awards jury universally applauded the adaptive reuse of this project’s exterior and the dramatic transformation of the existing building.
